According to Quora We have a disciplinary model in place now where often, you can’t request that a student get detention, suspended, or moved out of your class, unless you can document that you have made prior contact with the student’s parents. This is fair for the most part, but sometimes you need a student out of the room NOW, and if you can never get a hold of parents, that doesn’t mean that you and other students should have to continue to endure a habitually disruptive student.
